The Sri Lanka Attacks and the Danger of Internet Censorship

The appalling loss of life and destruction wrought by idiots in Sri Lanka is yet another sickening reminder of the human capacity for unimaginable cruelty. The coordinated series of suicide blasts struck six sites. Three churches in Negombo, Batticaloa and Colombo’s Kochchikade district, and the Shangri-La, Kingsbury and Cinnamon Grand hotels in Colombo were targeted. Two further detonations occurred when police investigated suspected terrorist storage sites in Dehiwala, southern Colombo, and the Colombo district of Dematagoda.

sri lanka attack 001At the time of writing (13.00 GMT 22/04/2019,) these attacks have reportedly cost 290 lives, with more than 500 injured. The Sri Lankan authorities state that 24 suspects, possibly linked to the attacks, have been arrested for questioning.

One of the first responses of the Sri Lankan authorities, following the attacks, was to ‘temporarily’ shut down social media in Sri Lanka. This kind of response is something the British Government are proposing to do in the UK with their Online Harms White Paper legislative proposal.

This censorship of the Internet is extremely dangerous and will do nothing to reduce the number of attacks or reduce fatalities. Quite the opposite, it will undoubtedly increase the likelihood of terrorist atrocities. Especially in more developed nations.

Firstly we need to understand that Islamist extremism, in particular, has long been a tool for the destabilisation of target regions by the Western (and other) Deep State. ISIS (Daesh, or whatever you want to call them) are almost certainly a creation of elements within the Western military industrial and intelligence complex.

These groups don’t act autonomously. They require financing, logistical and tactical support, weapons, explosives, training and safe harbour.  From Operation Gladio, Operation Cyclone through to Timber Sycamore and beyond, it is fairly clear that many Islamist terrorist groups have significant ties to the Western Deep State and its intelligence agencies.

sri lanka attacks 002The only resistance to this continuing use of a ‘strategy of tension‘, to shape and control public opinion, is coming from the independent media and citizen journalists like Robert Stuart. The mainstream media (MSM) are utterly moribund in this regard. They only parrot the official narrative, investigate nothing and report what they are told to by the state or their corporate sponsors. When they don’t, in the UK for example, the state uses legislative “requests”, in the interest of ‘national security,’ to silence the MSM. If they write anything that doesn’t serve the globalist agenda, then their globalist owners apply strict editorial embargoes. There is no such thing as a free and open MSM.

The EU Copyright Directive, the Online Harms White Paper proposal, the banning of video sharing sites in New Zealand, following the Christchurch terrorist attack, and now the Sri Lankan governments closure of the Internet, are all part of a global push to silence free speech online. All those who oppose the use of state sponsored terrorism, facilitated by states actors, for the purpose of propaganda and social manipulation are being silenced.

As these voices are only to be found on the Internet, states around the world are clearly intent upon shutting down peoples’ ability to independently investigate and share their findings with each other. Often independent analysis of citizen videos of terrorist attacks have allowed independent researchers, such as UK Critical Thinker, to raise important questions about those events. The global state is ensuring that will no longer happen. It is also taking active measures to stop independent journalists from reporting from the scenes of these terrible attacks.

Sajid Javid

For example, under the  Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019 , the UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid recently announced that the UK state would potentially imprison people for up to 10 years for going to ‘designated areas’ and up to 15 years for a single click on anything the state deems to be terrorist related material. So you had better be careful what you browse.

The state claims this is to deter people traveling to fight for designated terrorist organisations overseas. However, the evidence suggests that the UK intelligence agencies, among others, have worked with terrorist recruiters such as al Muhajiroun to actively encourage and facilitate this form of human trafficking for many years. It would appear, the UK state at least, have no intention at all of stopping this Islamist extremist recruitment process. Anyone who applies any measure of critical thinking must surely question how 15 year old Shamima Begum could travel from the UK to a war zone with no passport.

Far from ‘tackling terrorism’ it appears these measures are specifically designed to stop independent journalists, such as Vanessa Beeley, going to war zones and reporting her finding back to the public. Beeley is one of many independent journalists and activists who have questioned the MSM’s disinformation regarding Syria. Whether you agree with her or not, this is the state censorship of freedom of speech and the crushing of an independent ‘free and open’ media.

By making the viewing of citizen videos of terrorist attacks illegal, the globalist state is protecting its exclusive control of the narrative of those same attacks. They claim it is to stop terrorist groups from using the Internet for it’s own propaganda purposes. However PR firms, such as Bell Pottinger, have already admitted making ‘fake terrorist videos’ for the Deep State. So we may legitimately question who is disseminating and creating this so called ‘terrorist propaganda.’

The other argument claims it will stop recently bereaved families having to constantly confront reminders of their loss. This is a risible alleged justification for censorship, which solely targets the independent media. The MSM consistently run 24hr coverage in the aftermath of terrorist attacks in their perpetual news cycle. They always focus on the horror, the loss and the brave actions of the emergency services; they never fail to attribute blame, regardless of the evidence, in keeping with ‘official pronouncements;’ they rarely ask any questions or investigate the evidence themselves; they act as nothing more than mouthpieces of the state.

The censorship of the Internet will make certain that the MSM, and only the MSM, are able to report on terrorist atrocities. Anyone else who tries will, in all likelihood, be imprisoned.

Samual P. Huntington

In 1993 political scientist Samual P. Huntington defined the term ‘the clash of civilisations.’ He proposed that a post cold war new world order would emerge based upon, what he considered to be, the inevitable clash between Western secularist / Anglo Christian based society and Islamic society. We have been told that this notion is the language of those who support terrorism.

In his 2014 speech to the United Nations General Assembly then UK Prime Minister David Cameron said:

“As evidence emerges about the backgrounds of those convicted of terrorist offences, it is clear that many of them were initially influenced by preachers who claim not to encourage violence, but whose world view can be used as a justification for it. We know this world view.

The peddling of lies: that 9/11 was a Jewish plot or that the 7/7 London attacks were staged. The idea that Muslims are persecuted all over the world as a deliberate act of Western policy. The concept of an inevitable clash of civilisations.”

Huntington’s hypothesis was first published in the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) magazine ‘Foreign Affairs.’

In his book ‘Superclass,’ David Rothkopf , managing director of Henry Kissinger & Associates and member of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIP), who stated that war was the best way to manipulate populations, wrote that the era of the nation state was over. He said society would instead be ordered upon globalist principles, shaped by powerful globalist think tanks, such as the CFR, CEIP and the Bilderberg group.

If anyone is promoting the concept of the ‘clash of civilisations’ it is the members of international globalist institutions and their corporations. This notion is consistently advocated by the MSM, who are owned and controlled by those same globalists. Which certainly casts Cameron’s words in a different light.

So, as the horror of the Sri Lanka attacks emerged it was no surprise to see a tweet from the current UK Prime Minister which clearly promoted the same overarching narrative of a ‘clash of civilisations.’ Rather than simply express sympathy for the human beings who died, Theresa May was also intent upon convincing you that the world is defined by a division between Western Secular/Christian based society and Islam.

What is she promoting?

We can be reasonably certain that the majority of major Islamist terrorist attacks are coordinated and/or facilitated by the Western Deep State. This opinion is evidence based and has clear historical foundation. Independent research by the ‘alternative media’ and ‘citizen researchers’ have all too often exposed the gaping holes in the state narratives of these attacks.

States around the world are making every effort to silence and outlaw that independent research and return total dominion of all information into the hands of the MSM, who they completely control, either through legislation or corporate diktat. This guarantees that future terrorist atrocities and war crimes will not be reported with any critical analysis whatsoever. Thus greatly increasing the likelihood of an increase, rather than a reduction, in the number of these attacks.

The vast majority of terrorist attacks around the world in 2019, and throughout the so called ‘war on terror,’ have been against Muslim populations. These are rarely reported by the Western MSM, leaving only the independent media to highlight the lunacy of claiming there is a ‘clash of civilisations.’ The terrorist attacks the MSM do report are the ones that fit into the ‘world war’ narrative, particularly those which take place in the West.

The independent media and citizen journalists have often highlighted the evidence indicating the contrived nature of these atrocities, which frequently appear to be ‘false flag‘ attacks. Many have opposed the notion of a ‘clash of civilisations,’ persistently trying to alert the wider public to the manipulation techniques deployed to entice them to accept this absurdity.

Of course there are also a number of ‘alternative media’ outlets who do promote the divide and rule agenda. However, up to this point, we have enjoyed reasonable freedom of speech. It is up to you, not the state, to decide what you find plausible. Unfortunately, that freedom of speech is now being shut down by the globalist state.

So what do we know so far about the Sri Lanks attack? Is there any evidence which suggests this could be yet another globalist state, controlled event?

Firstly, Sri Lankan state officials have said that they believe the attacks were coordinated internationally. Rajitha Senaratne, Sri Lanksn Health Minister, said “We do not believe these attacks were carried out by a group of people who were confined to this country,” adding there was “an international network,” without which the attacks “could not have succeeded.”

We learn that vital intelligence, that could have possibly averted he attacks, was missed once again. This is a common feature of nearly every ‘clash of civilistions’ attack. The MSM only ever report this consistent factor as ‘failures.’  We have also been told that the attacks were probably perpetrated by an Islamist terrorist group, Nations Thawahid Jaman (NTJ,) and the globalists state’s proxy army ISIS have announced their support for the groups activities. Effectively claiming they outsourced the attacks to the NTJ. However we should be cautious about believing anything ISIS claim. They have repeatedly taken credit for attacks, despite having little or no involvement.

The Sri Lankan Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewardene claimed in Parliament that the attacks were in retaliation for the Christchurch Mosque attacks in New Zealand. He presented no evidence to substantiate the claim, but that has not stopped the Western MSM from promulgating it. This terrorist internationalism and the ‘failures’ of intelligence have also been widely disseminated by the MSM, pushing the ‘clash of civilisations’ myth.

None of this means that those who perpetrated this disgusting barbarity can or should be excused in any way. Regardless of who their handlers may be, they are absolutely culpable for the mass slaughter of innocent men women and children. Nor is there any evidence yet to suggest that the alleged NTJ attack was facilitated by agents of the Deep State, or indeed that the NTJ were behind the attacks. The Sri Lankan authorities need time to investigate the murders.

However, what is absolutely certain, is that the shutting down of the Internet in Sri Lanka makes any independent investigation of the attacks extremely difficult, even dangerous. It is beyond doubt that whatever state narrative emerges it will be wholly controlled by the globalist state and those who challenge it will increasingly risk punishment by the state.

This attack has already been exploited by people like Theresa May to create the impression that the world is at war with itself. The solution offered will be more government, more censorship, more control and more power concentrated into the hands of a tiny clique of tax exempt parasites. So who benefits from these attacks?
